Kajol may not be good looking in real life or her uni-brow might not be attractive to you, but she was portrayed as a "beautiful" women on camera where a hero would fall for her beauty! My concern is not the bollywood queens, my concern is how they were showed on camera. They were symbols of "good looking" nice girls in movies.. They were not portrayed bad looking. In their movies, they were implied to be good looking. I hope it makes sense

How they looked in real life was not an issue. It's about how they were portrayed. In any hindi movie I don't recall of any heroine to be portrayed as "not-so-good-looking ON CAMERA" and yet were accepted by a handsome nice hero. It's true in western fairy tale too. Cinderella, snow-white.. in all of these they were portrayed beautiful
